Lucerne is one of the the most beautiful cities we visited in Europe. The people were exceptionally friendly, there were flowers blooming everywhere, the food was fabulous, and the river was fascinating.

One of the advantages of a Family SwissPass is free lodging for kids in the train station lockers in almost every station in Switzerland! Our kids took full advantage of this opportunity!

We took a day trip to Mount Pilatus, which has a very challenging ropes course, and the longest toboggan flume ride in Europe. Johnny was dissappointed that Dear Ole Dad didnt have the right shoes to do the Ropes course, 'cuz Mom was sortof a chicken! Jimmy was delighted that he got to do the toboggan ride many times with Dad! Dad doesn't use the brakes!
After JF and I enjoyed romantic fun filled evenings in fancy hotels, we were always able to find our kids the next morning by the clues they left us in the train stations. My Vera Bradley backpack and the America's Cup hat were dead giveaways!
Kidding of course! This is how we really lived:

Hey Deb,
Happy to see that you beat me to posting photos from Switzerland. Mine will be appearing over the next few weeks--we had a great time! At least you weren't as much of a chicken as me. Wait till you see how brave Veronica was.
Thanks for the all suggestions! Melissa
